Miss Kathie, School Founder
Spreading joy through
dance and laughter
The First Principal of the School, Kathie Lightfoot, qualified as a Ballroom and Latin Dance dance teacher in 1985 and set up Lightfoot School of Dancing, initially in Wooldale in 2002.
Kathie trained well over 1,000 students to achieve dancing qualifications with the International Dance Teachers Association (I.D.T.A.).
However perhaps even higher on Kathie’s priority list than achieving recognition from the I.D.T.A. for her pupils, was her desire to make sure all of her students enjoyed their time at Lightfoot School of Dancing as much as possible.
