Lightfoot School of Dancing Teachers

Kathie Lightfoot – Principle / Teacher

The Principle of the School, Kathie Lightfoot, qualified as a Ballroom and Latin Dance dance teacher in 1985 and set up Lightfoot School of Dancing, initially in Wooldale in 2002.

Kathie has now trained well over 1,000 students to achieve dancing qualifications with the International Dance Teachers Association (I.D.T.A.).

However perhaps even higher on Kathie’s priority list than achieving recognition from the I.D.T.A. for her pupils, is her desire to make sure all of her students enjoy their time at Lightfoot School of Dancing as much as possible. Indeed Kathie is proud to say that pupils from her first ever class in 2002 are still with the school.

Holly Lightfoot – Teacher

Holly Lightfoot has followed her mother into the world of dance.

Holly started to learn to dance at her mother’s school in 2002 and has not looked back since.

Holly has added Street Dance and Zumba to the schools curriculum for those students that also like to learn more contemporary dance styles.

Holly has also added the facility of teaching happy couples their first dance for their wedding reception, as well offering to host dance theme birthday parties for children.
